Mamiko and her team work in a wide range of genres: DJ event, concert, musical theater, corporate event, film shooting, luxury event, fashion event and any other live entertainment events physically & virtually.
Career:
2005: Mamiko began her VJ career in Kyoto, Japan.
2008-2013: She moved to New York in 2008 and started VJing at various clubs and venues around the city including some of the best clubs in NYC. She has done live visuals for the Grammy Award winning music producers such as Frankie Knuckles and Easy Mo Bee. She has also worked with renowned DJs such as Carl Craig, Jeff Mills, Derrick Carter, Mark Farina just to name a few.
In 2012, She started adopting 3D projection mapping to her VJ presentation.
2014: She was nominated Brooklyn Nightlife Awards for Best Visual Artist.
2015: Post punk band "ZZZ’s"’s music video “Dystopia”,which is directed by Mamiko, was nominated Berlin Music Video Awards 2015.
She created projection mapping installation for Australia based men's fashion brand "ZANEROBE"'s pop up store in Soho NY. She also had VJ performance for American TV Network "SHOWTIME" 's event at Paley Center for Media -Museum of Television and Radio- in NY.
2016: She joined NEW ORDER's USA tour and did opening live visuals for New Order at Radio city music hall (NY) and Tower Theater (Philadelphia).
2017: She produced visual contents for the American POP STAR Ian Erix's UK concert tour.
She did live visuals for Grammy award winning rapper Busta Rhymes and celebrity R&B singer Tinashe at the stage 48 NYC.
2018: In March, She produced visual contents and did live visuals for Africa Now!, featuring the Grammy Award winning producer / DJ Black Coffee , at the Apollo Theater. She was invited as a panelist to the Apollo theater education program presents " Visual Arts in Entertainment".
She made Audio-Visual projection mapping art installation for Earth day event presented by Hudson County Authority Improvement at Hudson River park in New Jersey in April 2018.
She did visuals for No Barrier Summit concert presented by No Barrier USA at Summer Stage in Central Park in October 2018.
2019: She started producing immersive experience (large scale projection mapping) for music events.
2020: She launched a virtual production department in 2020. The department is producing 360° immersive environment for Virtual Events and livestreaming events.
2021-present: She has been creating 360° immersive visuals for NYC's nightlife staple DJ Jonathan Peter's livestreaming event every Saturday virtually and remotely since 2021. Also she has been doing projection mapped live visuals for Jonathan Peters's "Sound Factory" Party in NYC physically.
In 2021, She designed Projection Mapping set for Questlove's interview shooting. The interview is about the Academy Award winning documentary movie " Summer of Soul" directed by him.
Currently, she teaches VJ & New Media Arts at Performing Arts program at St. John's Preparatory High School, Astoria NY and continues to work on interactive & immersive media art for live events.
